The Valley Chordsmen salutes California United Methodist Church celebrating 150 years of worship and service to the community with a program of songs from the past including “Don’t Be a Baby , Baby”, “Old Cape Cod”, “Little Street Where Old Friends Meet”, and “You Gotta Have Heart”. Songs of inspiration were old favorites such as “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”, “Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior”, and “When There’s Love At Home”. Charles Keller was recognized as being the person who has been a member of the Church for the greatest number of years. (74 years - been there for nearly half of the churches existence.) Pat Cowen came in second with 66 years of membership and service to the Church. After the program all gathered in the social room for refreshments and of course, more singing. A great evening.
